CU, CUF, TPC File Amicus Brief with Supreme Court on DACA

Citizens United, Citizens United Foundation and The Presidential Coalition have filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court urging the Justices to reverse three lower court decisions blocking the Trump Administration's efforts to end former President Barack Obama's DACA immigration order. Our brief makes three main arguments: (1) The Trump Administration's decision to end DACA is not subject to judicial review; (2) the decision to end DACA was legal; and (3) DACA was unlawful from its inception, and even if DACA is not unlawful, the Trump Administration's decision to end DACA is lawful. The Supreme Court is slated to hear argument in the case later this year or early next year with a decision expected by the end of June 2020.
